I think this is relevant to tourism nowadays because there are travel guides for diverse populations such as ADA travel, age oriented travel guides, and some racially oriented guides still exist. Especially because sun down towns still exist in the U.S. even in Illinois! The green book offers an interesting context for travel guide history.
